The annual charity gala evening was held by the organization of wives of heads of diplomatic missions – HOMS (Head of Missions’ Spouses) on February 16. HOMS’s gala raised funds for charity and organized one of the best wine tastings in Baku.
Over 20 heads of the participating diplomatic missions personally presented their homeland wines and traditional snacks in the Landmark Hotel. For one evening, the ambassadors of Mexico, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Moldova, the European Union, Israel, Germany, Italy, France, Romania, Switzerland, Greece, Holland, Hungary, and Argentina, among others, worked as sommeliers and greatly enjoyed their new role.
Guests had a unique opportunity to enjoy Baku’s international community comradery while contributing to a worthy cause at the same time. The funds raised at the event will be directed to several local charity organizations supported by HOMS.
